ISO: More 50th Anniversary ideas needed

Misc.

So many wonderful ideas have already been posted
in the archives, but I am in need of some food
options for a mid-afternoon reception for my
parents big day. This will be held in the
church family life center with cake and punch,
but I'd really like to have several more things
available to the guests. I'm wondering what
the favorite foods were fifty years ago at
special functions like this. Anyone know?

It's just little old me for this gala, so
anyone with tips, experience, success and/or
horror stories, I'd love to hear them.

I have about six weeks to prepare, so you may
be hearing from me again with S.O.S flags
flying! If anyone has attended any great parties
lately or has any fresh ideas to share, I'd be
most appreciative.
