ISO: question about strawberry freezer jam

I have made strawberry freezer jam for years because it is a family favorite, but this year I have a question...has anyone tried making it using Splenda instead of regular sugar? It is a sugar product and measures cup for cup like granulated sugar but the consistency is different. Just thought I'd ask before I start experimenting. Thanks to anyone that might be able to help.
