ISO: Whipped Jello Dessert
Misc.I too have been searching for a recipe I tried at a sandwich shoppe one day. It was a strawberry jello with strawberries in it. The lady said they just used a mixer to "whip" it up and they added cool whip.
The dessert was not pink as you might think. You could tell it was a reddish jello as there were bits of jello throughout, you could tell it had strawberries in it as they weren't beaten to shreds, but the white part is what gets me.
I'm guessing they made the jello and let it set up somewhat and then beat it with a mixer until it was in tiny pieces. They could have added the partially defrosted strawberries to help set the jello. But I'm not sure how they added the cool whip. Maybe just by adding spoonfuls at a time. The dessert was very light and just melted in your mouth. It was some good stuff, LOL.
