Recipe(tried): Whipped Jello

Desserts - Puddings, Gelatin
Hi Kim,
I can't find the directions anywhere, but I remember making this for my kids.

As far as I can recall I prepared the jello according to the package directions, refrigerated it until it started to gel, then set the bowl inside a bigger bowl about half full of ice cubes. Then I beat it with my hand mixer until it thickened, became light in color and finally set up. It was rather spongey and airy and melted in your mouth.
I hope this might be what you are looking for, I made this during the same timeframe you speak of (70s).
