Thank You: Kentucky Butter Cake -

Misc.
Thanks for the cake recipe, Gina - it sounds wonderful, moist and heavy. One of those keeper recipes to bring to group suppers.

I was thinking of you yesterday as we were traveling from Cape Cod through the upper part of FL going across Rt. 10 to I-75. Saw the signs for Plant City, etc and thought that was where you've said was your area.

It WILL be good to resume my relationship with Publix! Missed all their great things while up north. But I must say, leaving New England is always an ambivalent time for us. Went apple-picking while staying in CT the past couple of days we were there. You just can't get Macouns down here! And seeing the cornstalks, colorful mums and pumpkins at this time of year up there on everyone's lawn always makes me homesick. Down here in the tropical part of FL, you never see any kind of fall decorations. They seem to go right for Christmas too early!

But still good to be home again. Lots of boxes I have to get to today. Time for a rotisserie chicken tonight after a restocking trip to Publix!

Love, June
