TURKEY DRUMSTICKS WITH MANDARIN SAUCE
3 turkey drumsticks (about 2 1/2 pounds)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp, pepper
1 tsp. paprika
4 tbsp, sesame seeds, divided use
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup cooking oil
Mandarin Sauce (for serving, recipe follows)
Rinse turkey drumsticks and pat dry. Melt butter in 13x9-inch baking pan; stir in oil and paprika Add drumsticks, turning once in buttered oil and placing it skin side down. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and half of sesame seeds.
Bake 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Turn drumsticks skin side up and sprinkle with remaining seeds. Bake 30 minutes longer or until tender.
Serve with mandarin sauce.
MANDARIN SAUCE
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup currant or apple jelly
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 (8 oz.) can mandarin orange sections, drained
Combine all ingredients for the sauce until orange sections, Heat and stir until smooth and clear. Remove from heat. Stir in I small can drained mandarin orange sections.
Makes 4 serving
