A big thank you to everybody that responded. Learned several good hints. I hadn't seen that Mennonite recipe, but looks like what I am looking for. I did the same thing you did. 1-1/4 cups sugar does sound like a lot of sugar to me. Did you find it was ok? We aren't big mayo people, I usually use Miracle Whip. I think I will substitute the MW for the mayo and leave out the sugar. What do you think? Mrs. Food
