Gina, I have often made this for a company meal, and made it earlier in the day, letting it sit out at room temperature. Then just put it in the oven to reheat for 20-30 minutes around 250-300 degrees. I always like scalloped potatoes better the second day anyway, the sitting seems to blend the flavors and thicken the juices better.

I hope you enjoy this recipe - it's an old standby of ours.
