Cookbooks Suggestions....
Misc. Hi Peg,
Lucky you, getting a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble is like manna from Heaven!! That is my favorite type of gift!!
Here are a few of my very favorites:
The two Barefoot Contessa Books by Ina Garten are truly indispensible in the kitchen!
The two books by the Silver Palate, staples for the kitchen...great foods and ideas for parties.
One of my personal favorites and I can't say enought about it is SOME LIKE IT SOUTH, the Jr., League of Pensacola. Everything you make out of it is gorgeous, delicious and perfect!!!
Check out the wonderful three books, AMONG FRIENDS by Roxie Kelley and Friends called:
Just a Matter of Time
Heart & Soul
Keeping Good Company
Great homestyle foods with lots of entertaining and homemaking ideas. Too cute for words...very whimsical drawings!!
I agree also with the previous poster, any Jr. League cookbook you can't go wrong with. I collect Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina.
All the ones put out by Mary Engelbreit, great recipes and the pictures have all sorts of Depression Era dishes and utensils, I love them!!
Any cookbooks put out by Susan Branch... and
The Artful Chicken.
Hope these postings give you some sort of idea on what to get. Go have fun browsing!! Be sure to tell us what you got also!!
have fun!! Gina
