I hope your 4th of July dinner is a success. I always suggest trying out a new recipe on a few people so you become familar with it and get some feedback before preparing it for an event. I would recommend you do this with the Strawberry Banana Layer Cake since it has a few different steps. It's not difficult. It is just always easier to prepare a recipe that you are familiar with if you are under time restraints or entertaining pressure.
