etc. for things like main dishes, appetizers, salads, snacks, etc. Of course, so many of the national contests are sponsored by companies that make soup, seasoning mixes, rice, chicken producers, beef producers, etc. ..... sort of hard to make cookies and cakes out of some of those products! I've never done any catering or anything like that .... I am not what one would call a 'great' cook - more of a 'creative' or 'idea' cook! We just did an 'appetizer' (it is an appetizer contest!) to send to Jimmy Dean Sausage - last night. It was ok ... and I'll send it in .... as I did buy the product and have the upc to go along with the entry. If you're interested, there are a # of contests on the Blue Ribbon board - the Dean one is over end of month. Have no hopes for my entry there ... but since I bought the product ...

I've won with cheesecake a couple of times and my daughter (when freshman in college) went to her 1st Pillsbury BO with a sweet snack - mini chocolate peanut butter cups enclosed in half a pillsbury biscuit - baked in mini muffin cups - then 'shook' in a mix of sugar with a bit of cocoa and cinnamon. Very tasty and quick. I used to bring thm to club coffees, etc. I think we've won a few other small prizes with cookies, cakes, desserts .... but nothing spectacular.

Everyone sorry about those triple posts up there. I have web-tv and it seemed stuck ... and wouldn't get out of the 'post' bit .... after 10 minutes .... I tried everything I could just to get out! And thus ... I goofed.
