More difficult
Misc. This is more difficult than I expected. I figured trying the most basic of white bread recipes would guarantee a result. I think I am using Red Star Yeast in small packets. It doesn't expire until 2002 so the age isn't the problem. I also added Vital Wheat Gluten which is supposed to aid rising.
Am I asking too much to come up with bread as light in texture as the stuff you buy in the supermarket ?
Could too much liquid or too much flour be the problem. How sensitive is the bread to small variances in the wet and dry ingredients?
