Jeanne - your recipe sounds really good, too. A lot more complex flavors coming through I would imagine.

I love all soups, hot or cold! I love a good spicy gazpacho but have never found a recipe that reminds me of one I had up in Maine at an inn, that I have judged all others by.

It was not cooked then cooled - it had chopped raw veggies, but lots of garlic flavor, and cucumber flavor was so refreshing. I have never tried to duplicate it, and I've never seen a recipe that sounds like what I had that day next to the crashing waves on the rocks.

I think I'm heading over to your coast for the weekend - my kids live in the Lauderdale area, whereas I'm over on the Gulf side - Ft. Myers.
