Request: Chocolate Ice Box Cake

My mom made this cake for special occassions when I was growing up. I believe the receipe was from a tv program called Trudy McNall? Not sure how her name is spelled. I remembere her watching the program and getting copies of the receipes in the archive_mail. If anyone has this receipe, please post it. The original receipe would date back to the 50's or 60's. The cake is made up of either sponge cake or angle cake and sliced in many layers. There is a chocolate filling in between the layers and is served with fresh whipped cream. When mom made this cake, she would put the beaters and mixing bowl in the freezer and she would whipp the cream when we were ready for dessert.
