Sue, thanks for tips and advice but unfortunately doors and windows in the U.K don't have screens fitted and, believe it or not, we have a major mosquito problem in the part of London in which i live (i am right next to the Thames). Both my boyfriend and i have a bad reaction to the bites and nothing we've done seems to help. So....we just have to keep the windows closed at night and suffer(though we have bought a fan recently)! Yes, we have tried everything re mossies - citronella (candles, cream etc) insect repellant creams, plug in thingies.........the list goes on. I swear, we'll have Malaria in this country in the next 10 or so years due to global warming. People think i exaggerate but the mossies here are bigger than any i've seen in Africa or Malaysia. They seem to prefer biting some people to others as although my neighbours do get bitten they don't have the same reaction as Simon and i. One morning i woke up and had 30 or so bites - i've been known to have alot more! Still, shouldn't grumble, we don't have a very warm climate most of the year and should enjoy it while it lasts. :)
