this is a common dieses in malaysia. hubby treats such patients on a regular basis. these mosquitoes bite during the day, unlike other mosquitoes. and you have to be bitten by the same mosquito that carries the virus TWICE to get the fever. it can be deadly if not treated properly and promptly. unfortunately, the symptoms are similar to body aches and regular fevers so many people don't know they've got it till it's too late. this is a problem in many developing country when urbanization takes up speed and infrastructure doesn't catch up fast enough.
