1. A a slice of potato left in the jar o/night will help restore the softness to hardened brown sugar.
2. Remove onion smell from hands by rubbing with UNpeeled potato.
3. A slice of raw potato in the bread tin will prevent bread from drying out.
4. Scour rusting cake pans with a chunk of raw potato dipped in cleaning powder.
5. Prevent potatoes from sprouting by adding a lump of charcoal in the storage box with them.
