Tips

Misc.

I think I got these tips from somone on T.V. that was selling a book. Don't know if any work. Here goes:
1. Add salt to flour before making gravy----no more lumps.
2. Bay leaves in kitchen cabinets will drive away bugs.
3. Baking powder in mashed potatoes will make them fluffier.
4. To get rid of grease in stews, soups, etc.
Float a slice of bread in center (will act like a magnet to grease).
Also, take a lettuce leaf.....drag around inside edge of pot....grease will adhere to lettuce.
Ice cubes in cheese cloth.....swirl around.....grease will adhere.
These all sound pretty reasonable-------maybe worth a try ????
