You're right, Micha, the Spoon Lamb

Misc.
time doesn't quite add up. I went back and checked to make sure that is the way it is written in the original and it is. One thing, I had a half leg (The shank had been removed) that weighed 4 pounds lbs,and by the time I trimmed off the fat, I had lost about half a pound. That would make up almost an hours differeence on a whole leg, perhaps they took that into account. I didn't notice the glitch, because I was using about 4 similar recipes and used an oven temp of about 305 degrees and cooked mine for at least 3 1/2 hours. Frankly, I may have over done it, it just felt into shreds. This is the first time I have ever cooked a leg of lamb. Lamb chops once in a while and a lamb stew many years ago are the extent of my lamb cooking up to now.

Julia Child's recipe says to cook a 6 to 7 pound leg for 3 1/2 to 4 hours at 350 degrees and I have another recipe that said a 6 pound leg at 200 degrees for 6 hours. I thought that was an awfully low temperature.
Then another said 7-8 pound at 300 degrees for up
to 7 hours or a half leg for 4 hours and I pretty much used that temp and timing and cooked it until very tender.
This was pretty much like a chuck pot roast cooked until it is falling apart.
