Recipe(tried): A&W Red Sauce - experimenting from memory

Linda - Funny, I worked with you in the Linden Rd. store. I made the coney sauce and red sauce a thousand times with you (ok, seem like a thousand times!). Tim & Karen took became the managers shortly after I started working there. I remember making the root beer in the basement with the wooden paddle and 20lb bags of sugar!

I've been looking for the recipe for the red sauce forever.

I just made a batch of the above, but it's much to sweet - the next batch I'll remove 1/3 of a cup. Like others, I know there was no vinegar in the recipe (at least in the Flint stores). I keep thinking there was cumin in there, but I might be confusing the coney sauce recipe!
