ISO: A&W Red Sauce question

This is a question for Mindie in Michigan - Did you try the recipe that starts with tomato paste? Just wondering - if you did, did it taste like the real A&W red sauce? I still get back to Flushing once in awhile, and ALWAYS try to get to the A&W there - they are the only ones I know of anymore that have the terrific sauce. Please let me know how it came out - Char
