Recipe: Apple Foldovers/Cups (using frozen puff pastry shells)

APPLE FOLDOVERS

1 pkg. frozen puff pastry shells
6 cups peeled, sliced apples
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. cornstarch
Glaze (recipe follows)

Bake puff pastry shells as package directs.

Combine apples, pecans, brown sugar, butter, lemon juice and cornstarch in a medium pan, stirring until cornstarch dissolves; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook uncovered about 10 minutes or until apples are tender.

Spoon hot filling into pastry shells. Glaze while warm.

GLAZE

1 cup powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. butter, softened
Milk (as needed)

To make glaze, combine powdered sugar and butter in a small bowl. Add milk to make proper consistency.
