Recipe(tried): Bean Burgers
SandwichesOnce I had a neighbor who made "bean burgers", and they were delicious; incredibly, they tasted just like meat. She never measured what she cooked, but here's the recipe as she told it to me.
BEAN BURGERS
Cook a put full of red beans (pinto beans).
Mash the beans. Add chopped onion, bell pepper if you like, some bread crumbs, and a couple of eggs.
Mix it up; it'll feel like mixing meat loaf.
Shape into patties and fry.
