Recipe: Cabbage Roll Casserole

CABBAGE ROLL CASSEROLE

1 lb. regular ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
Garlic powder to taste
1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
1 cup water
3 Tbsp. rice
3 cups coarsely shredded cabbage
Grated or sliced cheese

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Brown ground beef. Add onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; cook until golden.

Drain excess fat. Stir in soup, water and rice.

Place cabbage in a casserole dish. Pour meat mixture over cabbage.

Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees F. Add grated cheese or cheese slices for last 5 minutes of cooking.
