Chicken Divan

3 chicken breasts, cooked and diced
2 pounds fresh broccoli (or 2 packages frozen) -- cooked
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons melted butter

Drain broccoli and place in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Place chicken over top. In a bowl, combine all soups, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Spread atop chicken. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Mix dry bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle atop cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.Susan,IL (05:56:34) :

Turkey Alfredo Casserole

6 ounces fettuccini or medium noodles -- cooked and drained
10 ounce package frozen broccoli cuts
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 1/4 cups milk
2 1/4 cups chopped cooked chicken or turkey
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions: drain and set aside. Run water over broccoli to thaw.

Sauce: In large saucepan, melt butter or margarine. Stir in flour, basil, salt, and pepper. Add milk all at once. cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Cook and stir one minute more. Remove from heat; Stir in turkey or chicken, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, and well drained broccoli. Add pasta and toss to coat.

Place turkey mixture in greased 7 x 12 x 2 inch baking dish. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove foil. sprinkle 1/4 cups parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 5 to 10 minutes more or until heated through.Verla,.Il (05:45:22) : World Turning Casserole

1 large onion, chopped
1 c, diced celery
1/4 green pepper, diced
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 1/2 c. uncooked minute rice
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can of water
2 T. soy sauce
1 can chow mein noodles

Brown in a little butter the chopped onion, celery and green pepper. Brown beef. Mix in the rest of the ingredients except the chow mein noodles. Put into casserole and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Last 15 minutes add the can of chow mein noodles on top. This freezes well too!Susan,IL (05:44:14) :

Spicy Barbecue Chicken

1/4 cup onion -- finely chopped
1 clove garlic -- minced
2 tablespoons cooking oil
3/4 cup catsup
1/3 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon lemon peel -- grated
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon bottled hot pepper sauce
3 ready to cook broiler fryers -- cut up

cook onion and garlic in oil till tender but not brown. Stir in the remainder of the ingredients except Chicken. Simmer, covered about 30 minutes; stir occasionally.
Season chicken with salt and pepper. Place chicken, bone side down on the grill for 25 minutes. Turn bone side up and grill till done, 15 to 20 minutes more. Brush chicken with sauce during the last 10 minutes.Verla,.Il (05:40:25) : Melinda's Goulash

2 lbs ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 pkg of spaghetti seasoning
1 46 oz can of tomato juice
3 cups uncooked macaroni
1 8 oz pkg of shredded cheddar cheese

In a large Dutch oven, brown ground beef, onion, and garlic. Drain off grease. Add spaghetti seasonings, tomato juice and macaroni. Place lid on pan, simmer for 30 to 45 minutes on low or until macaroni is tender. Try not to lift lid a lot to check on noodles. When noodles have cooked and absorbed all the juice, turn off pan and place cheese on top. Place lid on top until cheese is melted. Mix all thoroughly before serving. Serves 8 to 10. 1 1/2 lb ground beef
3-4 cups of noodles or 8 0z pkg. package of wide cut noodles
2 c. small curd cottage cheese
1 pkg of spaghetti sauce mix
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp parsley flakes
1 tsp basil
3 c. tomato juice
1 T. sugar

Brown beef. Add all ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer 30 minutes on top of the stove. Do not need to bake. Place in casserole or pan, sprinkle with mozzarella on top. Cut in squares. Serve. You may keep this warm in the oven.SusannahOH (05:10:18) : CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST

7 slices white bread, crust removed and cubed
1 8-oz. pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
6 eggs
3 c. milk
6 slices bacon
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1 t. dry mustard

Mix bread cubes and cheese Spread in bottom of greased baking pan. combine eggs and milk; beat well. Stir in salt, pepper and mustard. Pour egg mixture over bread and cheese in pan. Top with bacon slices. Chill covered overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50-55 min. Serves 10-12.BB,.California (02:04:22) : Breakfast Casserole

6 Eggs
1 cup Half-and-half
2 tablespoons Chopped green onions
Salt -- to taste
Freshly-ground black pepper -- to taste
Butter -- to grease pan
6 slices Texas Toast
(thick cut, crusty white bread)
1 pound Spicy pork sausage -- cooked, and
-- drained of fat
1 cup Grated Cheddar cheese

In a small bowl, beat the eggs until they loosen up. Add the half-and-half, and green onions. Mix well, highly season with salt and pepper and set aside.
Butter a 12- by 10-inch baking pan. Line the pan with the bread, cutting and rearranging, if needed. Sprinkle the bread with the cooked sausage and cheese. Pour the egg mixture over the entire pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook covered for 25 to 30 minutes or until the egg mixture is set.

1/4 cup olive oil
1 clove garlic -- minced
1 1/2 pounds fresh broccoli -- (about 4 cup cooked)
2 cups Italian tomato sauce
1/2 pound ziti -- cooked according to
-- package directions
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 pound low-fat ricotta cheese
1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
2 tablespoons toasted wheat germ

Heat the olive oil in skillet; saut the garlic until softened but not
brown. Stir the broccoli into the garlic oil and set it aside. In a
large, oblong, oven-to-table dish, layer half the tomato sauce, half the
cooked ziti, half the Parmesan cheese, all the broccoli, all the ricotta,
the remaining ziti, the remaining sauce, crumbs, wheat germ, and the
remaining Parmesan cheese. Cover and bake for 35 minutes in a preheated
350 degree oven (10 minutes longer if dish has been refrigerated before
cooking). Uncover during last 15 minutes of cooking. Sauce should be
bubbly and the top lightly browned. Serves 6.BB,.California (02:00:59) :
Sour Cream Noodle Bake

1 package Medium-wide egg noodles - (8 oz)
Boiling salted water
1 pound Lean ground beef
1 tablespoon Butter
1 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Garlic salt
1 can Tomato sauce - (8 oz)
1 cup Cream-style cottage cheese
1 cup Sour cream
1 cup Chopped green onions
1 cup Shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Cook noodles in boiling salted water about 8 minutes or according to package directions. Rinse in cold water; drain in colander. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown beef in butter over medium heat; pour off and discard grease. Add salt, pepper, garlic salt and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.
Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, green onions and cooked noodles.
Alternate layers of noodle mixture and meat mixture in a greased 2-quart casserole dish, beginning with noodles and ending with meat. Top with shredded cheese. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned.
Yield: 8 servings.
