CAULIFLOWER AND BROCCOLI SALAD WITH CREAMY DILL DRESSING
1 head cauliflower, separated into flowerettes
1 bunch broccoli, cut into bite size pieces
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
2 green onions, chopped (one recipe called for 4-6)
Optional additions*
FOR THE DRESSING:
2 cups mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip Salad Dressing)
1 cup sour cream
1 to 2 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. to 1 tbsp. dill weed
1 tsp. lemon juice (optional)
Salt and Pepper to taste
Prepare vegetables and place in large bowl.
Combine mayonnaise, sour cream and seasonings. Toss with vegetables and refrigerate. Keeps in refrigerator several days.
*OPTIONAL ADDITIONS
While most recipes that I saw for this use just the above ingredients, here are a few variations that I found (I included the variations in the seasonings for the dressing above). The amount of dressing may need to be adjusted if adding more ingredients to the salad:
1/2 cup chopped onion (I would omit scallions if using onion)
1 cup chopped celery
3 large carrots, chopped
Cheese cubes
Serves 10 to 12

Hi Babs,
I hope someone will have the exact recipe to share. In the meantime, this recipe looks similar to what you described that's very flexible. Maybe you can experiment by adding some cubed cooked chicken and parsley.
Happy Cooking!
