Recipe(tried): Chicken Fricassee

Main Dishes - Chicken, Poultry
My mom taught me to brown my seasoned chicken pieces in oil and then take chicken pieces out of oil and drain and set aside.

Put sliced onions in oil and cool until tender.

Then put flour salt and pepper in oil and cook a few minutes before adding water (you can use chicken broth but not neccessary). Make the mixture thin as you will put the chicken pieces back into the water gravy and simmer covered until chicken is done and gravy has thickened some.

We like this with rice or mashed potatoes and salad.
