Recipe: Chocolate Cookie Press Cookies

Chocolate Cookie Press Cookies

Yield: 5 dozen

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup milk or cream

Cream shortening until soft. Add sugar gradually, continuing to cream until light and fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, chocolate, beat well. Sift flour, soda and salt together, add alternately with milk; beat well after each addition. Chill dough 10 minutes.

Pack into Cookie press, press into desired shapes on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees F.
