Recipe: Chocolate/peanut butter lovers ...

Misc.

I just finished copying the coconut pie, the Portuguese soup and the others .... sound yummy.

This is a quickie recipe for anyone who loves chocolate and peanut butter. It is my daughter's -- she came up with the idea while in junior high and we sent it off to Pillsbury Bake Off several times with no luck. Then the year she started University, I re-typed it for her ..... and she was called (1984, I think). She was so happy to go but 'being THAT old, she thought the recipe was 'too simple'. however, she (and her father - first Father/Daughter duo they ever had) enjoyed it so much she went back about 4 years later -- and won $2,000 that year!

I STILL make these -- put them in a napkin lined basket and cart them off to coffees, etc.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PUFFS

10-ounce can Hungry Jack Flaky, Buttermilk Flaky or Butter Tastin' Flake biscuits
20 bite-size milk chocolate covered peanut butter cups
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoo cocoa

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease 20 miniature muffin cups. Separate dough into 10 biscuits; separate each biscuitinto 2 layers. Remove paper from candies; place 1 candy on each biscuit piece. Fold dough over candy, covering completely. Seal well. Place seam-side down in prepared muffin cups.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from muffin cups. Combine sugar, cocoa and cinnamon; roll puffs in sugar mixture to coat.

20 puffs.

Enjoy!
