Recipe: Cider-Mustard-Bourbon Sauce

CIDER-MUSTARD-BOURBON SAUCE

2 cups apple cider
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 cup heavy (whipping) cream
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons bourbon
Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Bring the cider and chicken bouillon cube to a boil in a saucepan over medium high heat. Cook until the mixture has reduced to 1/2 cup, about 20 minutes.

Whisk in the cream, Dijon and mustards, Worcestershire sauce and bourbon. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.

Makes 2 cups
