Recipe: Crab Dip
Appetizers and SnacksCRAB DIP
LAYER 1:
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
2 cartons (8 ounces each) sour cream
1 package dry vegetable soup mix
Layer 2:
Cocktail sauce
Catsup
Horseradish
LAYER 3:
2 cans fancy crabmeat, well drained
Frozen baby shrimp, defrosted and drained or 1 can baby shrimp, drained well (frozen is best)
TO SERVE:
Ritz crackers or crackers of choice
LAYER 1:
Mix cream cheese, sour cream, and soup mix together well and spread on a large plate. Chill well, about 4 hours.
LAYER 2:
Mix together cocktail sauce, catsup and horseradish to taste. Spread over cream cheese mixture on plate.
LAYER 3:
Combine crabmeat and shrimp and distribute evenly over cocktail sauce mixture.
TO SERVE:
Serve with Ritz crackers or crackers of choice.
