Betsy: Thanks for the crockpot Beef Stroganoff recipes. The second (Crockpot Stroganoff)was almost identical to the one the mice chewed on, but even better. The original called for mushrooms in a can or jar instead of fresh mushrooms, then reserving the packing liquid to be combined with water to make one cup of liquid for the seasoned beef to "stew in" in the crockpot. The beef broth in place of water added more flavor. Guests even asked for the recipe. :)
