DOUBLE CHOCOLATE FUDGE SQUARES
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp water
1 pkg (12oz) semisweet chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
In small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and water. Bring just to boil. Remove from heat.
Add 1 cup chococlate chips and the vanilla. Stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating toroughly after each addition.
Gradually add flour mixture, beating until smooth.
Stir in remaining chocolate chips and the nuts.
Spread in greased 9 inch square baking pan.
Bake at 325 for 30 to 35 minutes or until tooth pick inserted near center comes out clean.
Cool completely on wire rack. Cut in 16 squares.
