Dropped Dumplings (for Chicken and Dumplings)

There are two kinds of dumplings. Rolled and dropped. This is a recipe for dropped dumplings, like biscuit dough.

1 cup sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbsp. cooking oil

Sift together dry ingredients. Combine the milk and oil and add to the dry ingrdients. Stir just to moisten. Drop by tablespoon full onto the almost done chicken and broth. Reduce heat, cover, and cook 12-15 minutes. Remove to platter. They should turn out light and fluffy. Enjoy!
