DUTCH PEACH PIE
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
10 to 12 ripe Texas peaches
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
FOR THE TOPPING:
1/2 cup chopped Texas nuts
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. butter
Peel peaches, slice and arrange in pie shell; set aside.
Mix with sour cream, sugar, egg, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Pour over peaches.
Bake in an even browning 350 degree F oven for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, for the topping, mix together nuts, brown sugar, 3 tablespoons flour. Cut in butter to make crumbs for topping.
Sprinkle crumbs over pie and bake for 15 to 20 minutes longer.
