If your family is anything like ours you would know we adore curry of any kind!
Recently our family went about creating our own curry, we wanted to have a curry to whip up easily after work that didn't take too long. There was premix curry in the store that we could buy, but that alone was 4 dollars and didnt hardly feed three people, not including the meat which you had to buy to mix in with it!
I then had look on here and various other web sites for an easy curry and simply could'nt find one! Most recipes call for lots of ingrediants that most of us simply dont have in our kitchens or are way out of our cooking ability!
SO with that one night we decided to experiment...we took
one tub of sour cream
(depending on how much sauce you want the more you use if that makes sense...we used one standard tub)
500grams (1 lb) beef
(we liked it in chunks or you could also use chicken or pork in here, whatever you fancy, all tastes great)
one white onion chopped
2 tablespoons butter
curry paste
(we use a british brand called "pataks" in corinander and coconut but you can use whatever!)
-DIRECTIONS-
cook onion and beef through in a pan
combine curry paste and sour cream
add this mixture into the pan and simmer for ten mins
spoon a good amount of the mix on rice and serve with indian naan bread
this is an easy curry and tastes just like anything you would get from an indian shop! The secret is the sour cream and curry paste, when blended they counteract each of the harsh flavours! My friends who cant stand curry ADORE this so why not try it!
