Easy Maple Nut Bread
Source: Wisconsin Maple Producers Council - Aniwa, WI.
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cups milk
3 cups biscuit mix
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup maple syrup
Several hours before making bread, chop walnuts and add to maple syrup. Let stand, or soak overnight in refrigerator. Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine sugar, egg, milk and biscuit mix. Beat at high speed for 30 seconds. Stir in nut mixture and pour into 2 well-greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour. Cool before slicing.
