FROZEN FRUIT WITH WALNUTS
Source: Gateway Bed & Breakfast/Newport, Kentucky
2 containers (8 oz. each) sour cream (2 cups)
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon lemon juice
30 oz. fruit cocktail or 2 cans (15.25 oz. each) tropical fruit
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, cut in half
1/2 cup walnuts
2 bananas, cut up
Mix together the sour cream, sugar, and lemon juice. Combine with the remaining ingredients and pour into paper-lined cupcake tins or a freezer proof container, or shallow plastic container with lid. Thaw 1 hour before serving.
FROZEN SALAD DELIGHT
Servings: 8
2 cups (1 pint) dairy sour cream
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme
1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can fruit cocktail, well drained
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
Few drops red food coloring
Mix together the sour cream and marshmallow creme; blend well. Add fruit, cherries, and food coloring. Spoon into a loaf pan. Cover and freeze. Slice when ready to serve.
