Recipe(tried): Green Gelatin Fruit Salad: Lime Fluff

Salads - Fruit, Gelatin
Susan, I think this is the recipe you are looking for. It's a favorite with my family and we have to have it at all holidays and celebrations. Another version, which some of us like better, is Orange Fluff, which uses orange Jello, drained canned crushed pineapple, drained canned mandarin orange segments, and walnut pieces as well as the cottage cheese and whipped topping.

LIME FLUFF

1 large box (6 ounces) lime-flavored gelatin dessert mix
1 large tub (32 ounces) small-curd cottage cheese
1 small can (15 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
1 small package (10 ounces) chopped walnuts
1 large tub (12 ounces) frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed

In mixing bowl, stir gelatin dessert mix and cottage cheese together until blended. Fold in pineapple and walnuts. Gently fold in whipped topping. Spoon into two-quart serving dish. Chill about one hour until set. Serve cold.
