Recipe(tried): Haluski Plus

Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
Halusky Plus
Servings: 6-8

1 package bowtie pasta (farfelle)
1 medium head cabbage
1 medium onion -- chopped
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms -- sliced
1 large carrot -- shredded
1 1/2 cups sour cream
Butter (if needed)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dill weed
2 tablespoons cooking oil or 1/2 pound diced bacon
1/2 pound thinly sliced kolbasi or diced cooked ham

Cook bowties as package directs and drain. If your going to keep warm, make sure to cook bowties al dente.

Heat oil in Dutch oven or a large deep frypan. If using bacon, omit oil and fry bacon until crisp. (I prefer bacon...it gives a better flavor! SG) Remove bacon with slotted spoon and set aside. Remove all but 2 to 3 tablespoons drippings. Stir in shredded cabbage, onions, carrots and mushrooms and saute until tender. Season with salt, pepper and dill.

Stir in kolbasi or ham and cook 2 minutes. Mix in bowties and sour cream and heat through. (Also add bacon pieces). Keep warm in your crockpot if taking somewhere or for a party! This recipe has been tested and received by many!
