Recipe(tried): Hamburger Stroganoff and Taco Salad - I hope these might help
Main Dishes - Beef and Other MeatsI know all about picky eaters. My dad was picky, I'm picky and so is my husband. And my husband's father and brother make most picky people seem easy to please.
These are both recipes that I regularly make. They don't include the things you listed that your husband doesn't like, but if he's anything like the picky eaters I know, he may find some fault. Here goes anyway.
HAMBURGER STROGANOFF
1 pound ground beef (I use chuck)
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp instant minced onion (I omit because DH hates onion)
1 beef bouillon cube
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp paprika
1 3-oz can sliced mushrooms (I omit)
6 oz of sour cream
2 Tbsp sherry (can omit, doesn't change the taste that much)
Brown meat and drain. Stir in next 4 ingredients. Add 1 cup water and mushrooms with liquid (if not using mushrooms, I add a little more liquid). Cover and simmer 10 min. Stir in sour cream. Add wine and heat through (about 3 minutes). Serve over hot buttered noodles.
TACO SALAD
This recipe doesn't taste like any mexican style taco meat so your husband might like it. This recipe also doubles very easily.
1 pound ground beef (I use chuck)
1/2 envelope (1/4 cup) dry onion soup mix
3/4 cup water
Brown meat and drain. Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the meat and stir in the water. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Then serve as you would a taco salad. Since everyone in my house is so picky it tends to be tortilla chips, meat, cheese and sour cream.
I have another recipe I was going to post and if I can find it I will post it later.
