Recipe: Homemade Cheese-Flavored Corn Chips - re: Doritos for Jennifer, NY

Appetizers and Snacks
Jennifer, I have not tried this, but a friend who is a chip fanatic has tried this:

HOMEMADE CHEESE-FLAVORED CORN CHIPS

1 pkg corn tortillas
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup powdered cheese
1/2 tsp powdered butter (Molly McButter works for her)
1/4 tsp chili powder

Heat oven to 425 degrees.

Mix together powdered cheese, butter and chili powder.

Using a pastry brush brush both sides of a tortilla with oil, coating well. Sprinkle liberally with cheese mixture on both sides, rubbing a litte bit in to each side.

Using a pizza cutter cut each tortilla into 4-6 wedges depending on your preference.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until almost crisp to crisp. (They will get a bit crisper after you remove them she says.)
