Recipe(tried): How to baste an egg
Breakfast and BrunchYes. Basted eggs are possible! to baste an egg I meld a half stick of butter in a small, non-stick "Crepe" pan, on medium heat. Be sure not to let all of the natural waster cook out of the butter. Then crack an egg into the melted butter and wait until the outside of the egg white coagulates. From there take a table spoon and spoon hot butter over the yolk and the thicker layer of egg white. Continue until all of the egg white is fully cooked and the yolk is partially cooked but still liquid on the inside. A Perfectly basted egg will have NO color.
I hope this helps those who Were unable to baste an egg.
