I've made these cookies time and time again.
Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco
1 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
3 T. milk
1 T. vanilla
1 egg
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
Preheat oven to 375.
Combine peanut butter, Crisco,
brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in large
bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer
until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended. Combine flour, salt, and soda.
Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just
until blended. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place
2 inches apart on a baking sheet. Flatten
slightly in crisscross pattern with the tines of fork that has been dipped lightly in flour. Bake at 375 for 7-8 minutes or until set. Cool two minutes on
baking sheet. 3 dozen
OR PEANUT BLOSSOMS
form dough into small balls. roll in granulated sugar.
place in mini muffin pans or on cookie sheet.
bake until set. take out of the oven and
immediately press an unwrapped miniature reeces
cup in each cookie. cool before you remove.
if you're in a hurry, you may use ready made
peanut butter cookie dough for the peanut
blossoms. it is a great combination of peanut
butter and chocolate. also great for showers,
etc.
