Recipe(tried): Jack Shrimp very close

Main Dishes - Fish, Shellfish
I've been working on this one for years...here's my version. We were tipped off by some former employees. lol. Our friends agree that it's pretty darn close.

JACK SHRIMP (very close)

Large batch:

50 oz can of chicken broth
32 oz can of tomato sauce
8 oz dark or amber beer
3 cubes of butter
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 whole onion (sliced or chopped)
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp oregano (too much will make it Italian)
1 Tablespoon fennel seed (this is key)
chili powder to taste
4 cloves of fresh, minced garlic (lots)
Boil then very slowly simmer for at least one hour

Saute 1 pound of shrimp in olive oil and one clove minced garlic.

Put 1 cup of cooked rice in a bowl, place shrimp on top, fill bowl with sauce, serve with very fresh french loaf.

Let me know if you liked this version.
