JODY'S FIRE AND ICE TOMATOES
3/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoons celery salt
4 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 large tomatoes, cut into 1/4- to 1/8-inch slices
1 green bell pepper, sliced thin
1 red onion, sliced thin
For the dressing, in small saucepan, combine first 6 ingredients. Bring to boil and cook for 1 minute.
Layer sliced vegetables in glass dish. Pour hot dressing over vegetables.
Chill and serve.
Makes 6 servings
