Recipe: Krispy Edible Easter Baskets

Krispy Edible Easter Baskets
Makes about 16

4 tablespoons butter
4 cups (10 ounces) marshmallows
5 cups Rice Krispies cereal (puffed rice also works well)
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup shredded coconut tinted green
favorite Easter Candy such as multicolored jelly beans

Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat, add Rice Krispies and 1/2 cup coconut and mix well.

Shape mixture into 16 three-inch baskets (can form them over small buttered bowls.) Use licorice for a handle. Chill thoroughly.

Color coconut (two to three days in advance to dry). Fill cooled nests with tinted coconut and your favorite Easter candy such as jelly beans.
