Layered Strawberry Dessert
2 pkg (4-serving size) or 1 package (8 oz size) Jello Brand Strawberry flavor gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 cup cold water
1 pint strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
3 1/2 cups (8 ounces) COOL WHIP Non-Dairy Whipped Topping, thawed
18 graham cracker squares
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water. Chill until slightly thickened.
Meanwhile, slice strawberries, reserving a few whole berries for garnish, if desired. Sprinkle sliced berries with sugar. Fold whipped topping into gelatin, blending well; fold in sliced berries.
Place 9 graham crackers in bottom of 9 inch square pan. Spread half of the gelatin mixture over crackers. Repeat layers. Chill until firm, about 3 hours.
Cut into squares. Garnish with reserved strawberries and additional whipped topping, if desired.
