Microwave Brownies

One of the best ever brownie recipes - a true chocolate hit in 6-8 minutes. Chewy, moist. Hardest part is to wait until they cool down before you eat them. But they are not bad hot and sticky just out of the microwave. Only one dish to clean up. When the chocolate mood hits, you always have the ingredients for this at hand.
Melt in a round microwave flat bottom casserole (I use a 8-inch French souffle casserole):
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter margarine
Stir in and mix thoroughly:
1 cup sugar
4-6 tablespoons Hershey's unsweetened cocoa
1 egg
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
Stir in:
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Microwave for 6-8 minute, just until puffed up and top is dry.
Additions:
Frost with mint frosting
Add ground orange peel
Use almonds or add almond flavor instead of vanilla
Add instant coffee
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of batter
Swirl warmed peanut butter in the batter
