Recipe: Oatmeal Cocoa Chppers

OATMEAL COCOA CHIPPERS

1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. Nestles' cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 c. margarine or butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
2 c. oats, uncooked
1 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, combine margarine, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chips, oats, and walnuts. Drop in rounded tablespoonfuls onto uncooked cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. Makes 4 dozen.
